Elmington Community Gardens identify areas on the Elmington Estate, Camberwell, South London, that have been neglected and have subsequently fallen prone to fly-tipping or antisocial behaviour. Through the re-wilding and greening projects highlighted below, we have re-imagined them as new places of natural beauty which benefit the health and wellbeing of our community and visitors, while improving the overall aesthetics of the estate.
In spring, the once concrete jungle bursts into action with the vibrant colours of flowers; the buzzing of bees and the fluttering of butterfly wings. Since ECG's establishment in 2020, year-on-year there has been a noticeable increase in the variety of birdsong that can be heard around the estate.
