Multicoloured pumpkins with the word allotment written over the top
The Elmington Community Allotments can be found between Langland House and Debre Sahl Saint Michael's Eritrean Orthodox Church, Edmund Street, Camberwell, South London SE5 7PH.  This location was an area rife with fly-tipping, graffiti and vandalism.  Through ongoing efforts of ECG volunteers, it has been lovingly re-imagined as a mini oasis of calm in the every day chaos of urban city life.
There are 17 raised beds available to residents of the Elmington Estate.  As the majority of the estate is made up of flats, with only a limited number of properties having a garden, priority is given to residents who do not have access to outdoor space.  The plots can only be used to grow food and/or flowers.  The more experienced growers are always on hand to help get newcomers started and offer guidance as they progress.

Where To Find Us

Applying for an Allotment Plot

In order to be offered a plot, applicants must show a significant commitment to volunteering on our community gardening projects.  All plot holders agree to volunteer their time continuously throughout their allotment tenancy, usually approximately one hour per week.  However, in hot weather this may increase in line with watering demands.  We request you take this into account before submitting an application.
If this seems like something you can commit to, please complete the contact form below including your postal address and whether your property has a garden in the message section.
